Start with the work
The process, people, constraints, and desired outcome come before any tool choice.
BYK combines practical business understanding with hands-on technical implementation. The goal is simple: build systems people can trust, operate, and improve.
BYK is led by Ben Bykovski, an AI-native engineer who works from the process outward: understand the work, build the useful system, and keep judgment visible.
Ben builds production AI and automation in an employee role at a major European tech company. His work spans document intelligence, research, internal knowledge, and systems used across multiple markets.
Outside that role, he has built independent products including propdesk, a document-heavy property decision system, and Kovos, the personal AI system he uses to organise his own work.
His background in computer science and data analytics keeps the work grounded in quality, evidence, and the realities of adoption — not just whether a demo looks clever.
BYK brings that experience to established businesses with information-heavy, repetitive, or disconnected work. If AI is not the right answer, BYK will say so.
Employee-role experience is not BYK client work, and no employer endorsement is implied.
The process, people, constraints, and desired outcome come before any tool choice.
Important decisions stay reviewable, sources stay attached, and uncertainty has somewhere to go.
The system is tested with representative work and the people expected to operate it.
Documentation, training, and responsibility are part of the implementation, not an afterthought.
BYK will tell you honestly whether AI or automation is a useful next step.
